Sustainability

As a manufacturer, it is important to emphasize to our customers that we apply the principle of environmental awareness in the production of EDELHOLZ products. With the introduction of the FSC system, we have joined the main goal set by the internationally recognized Forest Stewardship Council to promote responsible and sustainable forest management and forestry in the world. We procure our raw materials exclusively from domestic, Hungarian forests, which have started planned forest management more than 100 years ago, thanks to which today there are more annual oak trees than can be harvested. This will ensure in the long run that our grandchildren can also get to know the rich wildlife of the forests and their unique, unusual atmosphere. In addition, in our innovative manufacturing processes, we use only non-hazardous, solvent-free adhesives and natural, plant-based oils.

Hungarian oak

More than a quarter of a century has passed since the Hungarian oak treasure, unique and of highest quality in Europe, brought our traditional oak processing plant to life. Noble and timeless - these two properties are common for Hungarian oak, of which our EDELHOLZ floors and solid wood furniture are also made. Its beautiful light brown colour and unique structure are due to the favourable weather in Transdanubia, the soil and the careful work of Hungarian foresters for centuries! With us, quality control starts in the woods. We carefully select the oak logs we use one by one in the forest. With EDELHOLZ products, real nature moves into your home.

Innovation

Our high-tech and automated wood processing solutions ensure consistent and high quality that distinguishes us from our competitors. The huge, available stock of logs and timber, the careful and precise storing, the large drying capacity and individually developed drying schedules ensure our success for many years to come. Our advanced finishing machines and unique surface treatment machines provide us with the opportunity for continuous development and innovation. We can maintain constant, high quality thanks to our perfect drying and subsequent air-conditioning processes, for which our air-conditioned production halls are an extra guarantee.

In our production, we combine the most advanced technologies with the decades of experience of our carpenters. They convey the values of the past and tradition. At EDELHOLZ, the expertise of three generations of master carpenters and the constant need for innovation come together, so that our carpenters' own stories continue the 120-year history of oak. After all, the indispensable work of the human eye and the human hand makes our most beautiful wooden floors unique. It is these inimitable and special hand moves and skills that add to each plank an exceptional look.
