GENERAL INFORMATION
Depending on the floor’s exposure to wear, the impregnating coat naturally wears out after a certain time. Therefore, regular care is necessary. Wood is a natural product. It permanently changes its volume and adjusts to the room’s humidity. During the heating period, the relative humidity decreases significantly. The wood reacts to this situation by emitting its own moisture so that it starts to shrink. This process is visually recognizable by gap formation in the parquet floor. At the end of summer, these gaps are generally a lot smaller or closed again. In order to do something against gap forming, you may, for instance, hang humidifiers to your radiators and/or have an adequate number of plants in your house.
• Keep the room temperature at around 20–22 °C and relative humidity at 40–60% to prevent major dimensional changes in the wood.
• Wait at least 2–3 days before using or cleaning the freshly waxed floor.
• After installation or refreshing waxing, do not wet-clean the floor for 10 days; perform only dry cleaning.
• Ensure that no standing water remains on the surface.
• Do not use wire brushes or metal scouring pads. Avoid strong abrasive polishing pads as well.
• Dust and sand act like sandpaper on your floor – remove them immediately. Use a vacuum cleaner or soft-bristled broom as needed.
• Use only high-quality, compatible products for maintenance and cleaning.
• Place doormats at entrances to reduce the amount of dirt brought inside.
• We recommend attaching felt pads to chair legs to prevent scratches and using chair mats under rolling chairs.
• Avoid using household cleaning agents (e.g. degreasers, universal cleaners, toilet cleaners, glass cleaners, etc.) when cleaning your floor.
DAILY DRY CLEANING OF WOOD FLOORS AND PARQUET
Dry cleaning with a soft-bristled broom or vacuum cleaner is the most basic cleaning step, and it is recommended to be performed daily whenever possible. Sand and dust can act like sandpaper and cause fine scratches on the surface.
REGULAR WET CLEANING OF WOOD FLOORS AND PARQUET
To remove stubborn dirt, use “OLI-NATURA Wood Soap.” This wood soap quickly and effectively removes grease stains without fading the color of the wooden floor. For normally soiled floors, we recommend cleaning with OLI-NATURA Wood Soap at least once a month. Frequently used or heavily trafficked areas should be wiped at least once a week.
Wet cleaning of wooden floors with OLI-NATURA WOOD SOAP
OLI-NATURA Wood Soap is a soap-based concentrate designed for regular care of oiled and hard-waxed wooden floors and parquet. This gentle wood soap ensures fast and effective cleaning and care. Simply pour the soap into water, wash the surface, and let it dry — that is all! For stubborn stains, treat the affected area directly, then rinse with clean water.
Steps for cleaning the wooden floor with OLI-NATURA wood soap:
• Remove larger dirt particles with a broom or vacuum cleaner.
• Shake the OLI-NATURA Wood Soap bottle well before use.
• Add approx. 3 caps of wood soap to 5 litres of warm water (for larger areas, increase the amount proportionally — e.g. 6 caps for 10 litres of warm water).
• Dip the mop into the soapy solution, wipe the surface while damp, let the solution loosen the dirt for a few seconds, then wipe away the dirty water with a clean mop. Always rinse dirty mops or cloths thoroughly in clean water after use. (Tip: Use two buckets — one for soapy water and one for rinsing.)
Note: After mopping, make sure no standing water remains on the surface. Never use conventional household cleaners, as they can dry out the wood and damage the surface treatment of the floor or parquet.

PERIODIC MAINTENANCE AND REGENERATION (for hard wax treated floors)
OLI-NATURA HOLZPFLEGEWACHS (Wood Care Wax)
All care treatments should always be carried out by a professional flooring specialist!
Natural wood care wax for refreshing hard-wax-treated wooden floors and parquet. Depending on the level of use and wear, the floor should occasionally be refreshed with OLI-NATURA Holzpflegewachs.
This wood care wax forms an easy-to-maintain protective film on the surface of the floor, evens out minor damage, and restores a silky matte appearance. The refreshing treatment can be applied to the entire surface or only to specific areas.
Step-by-step instructions:
• Before any floor care, dry and wet clean the surface with OLI-NATURA Wood Soap. After wet cleaning, allow the floor to dry completely.
• Shake the bottle well before use.
• Apply OLI-NATURA HOLZPFLEGEWACHS evenly onto the surface (approx. 10 g/m²) using a pad. Allow the wax to penetrate the wood for 5–10 minutes. After this time, work the product into the wood using a white polishing pad (single-disc polishing machine). Ensure no excess wax remains on the surface — if necessary, absorb the residue with a cotton cloth.
• Allow the freshly treated floor to dry for 24 hours. After oiling, avoid any wet cleaning for 10 days — only dry cleaning is allowed.
Note: Cloths or white polishing pads soaked with oil are a fire hazard due to possible self-ignition! Therefore, immerse them in water immediately after use.
