EDELHOLZ straight plank wood flooring and wood stairs in the House of the Year

We are proud that EDELHOLZ straight plank wood flooring and wood stairs were installed in the A15 villa designed by DLA Katalin Fazekas and Árpád Vilics, which was chosen as the House of the Year in 2022.

The roots of the House of the Year Award go back to 1994, and in its current form, it has been selecting the best of the profession since 2008. The Award is supported by the Association of Hungarian Architects (MÉSZ), the Hungarian Chamber of Architects (MÉK) and the Architectural Science Association (ÉTE), and the Board of Architects' Organizations (ÉSZT).

For all of this and, of course, for the aesthetics of the villa itself, we are especially pleased that the designers chose our 3D structured classical straight plank floor, which we we installed together with a unique staircase system. This natural and authentic oak wood floor creates a special unity in the flowing spaces of the villa, which, thanks to the spatial structure and window and door distribution, act as if they were living nature itself.
