Modern home with Grönland 3300 wooden parquet and wall covering

With our Grönland 3300 wood chevron parquet and wall covering, this natural home was designed by Motifa Design. We quote excerpts from the designer, Fanni Sokorai-Gyurics:

Eco-friendly materials, natural light and views were an important part of our concept. Where family gatherings are frequent, spacious communal spaces are needed, but it is just as important that the house functions perfectly in everyday life and caters for all needs.

A contemporary-style home is defined by a fierce commitment to modern simplicity, geometric shapes and a rigorous yet well thought-out colour palette, with white, beige and brown shades predominating, and the timelessness and versatility of bold splashes of colour and patterned fabrics are perfect complements.

Individual wall coverings are an important part of the overall effect, adding texture and depth to the rooms, as well as decorative and acoustic qualities. The large chevron parquet flooring is an understated yet characterful element of the house's ambience, the direction of the planks being adapted to the staircase that emerges from the perpendicular scheme of the house. Its most striking point is in the master bedroom, behind the bed, where the division of the parquet flooring continues in the wall panelling combined with a bronze mirror.
